Happy Trails aims to conduct responsible tourism
Happy Trails subscribes both the code of ethics and responsible tourism declarations of the World Tourism Organisation.
We welcome wholeheartedly all guests to Indonesia and promote tourism with an attitude of tolerance and respect for the diversity of beliefs and way of lives and we observe the social and cultural traditions and practices of all Indonesian peoples, including those of minorities and indigenous people. Our tourism activities will be conducted in harmony with the traditions of the islands of Indonesia and in respect for the local laws, traditions and customs.
When travelling, we expect of our guests that they abide by the local laws, abstain from any conduct felt to be offensive or injurious by the local populations, or likely to damage the local environment; they should refrain from all trafficking in illicit drugs, arms, antiques, protected species and products and substances that are dangerous or prohibited by national regulations. We also expect of our guests that they acquaint themselves, already before they arrive in Indonesia, with the characteristics and cultures of the islands they are preparing to visit.
Happy Trails is commited to minimize the negative economic, environmental, and social impacts connected to tourism and generate economic benefits for local people and enhances the well-being of our staff and the host communities where our guests visit. We support the conservation of natural and cultural heritage and dedicate every year money to some projects to alleviate poverty.
