I describe myself as a fun person. I love culinary and traveling.

I have new activity which I love, DJ-ing. Learning how to become great DJ has never been easier but I believe that through the DJ course I’ve been taking I will be able to mix song and become great DJ. DJing always giving me great and happy feeling and I would like to share this happiness with the people around, that’s the reason why I wanna be DJ.

So, never take life seriously, just enjoy, be happy and have little fun!

How to describe myself? I’m a caring, easy going and happy person.

Working for Happy Trails giving me two things I always wanted: great work and travelling experiences. My favorite place to visit is Yogjakarta, located in the middle of Java Island, cool place where everything is cheap. In this place you can learn more about culture, specially the Javanese history and cultural. Golden Triangle must visit places are Prambanan, Borobudur (one of the Seven Wonders of the World) and Keraton (King’s Palace). Also never get bored of enjoying the local culinary along Malioboro!

Mejuah-juah!! That is a warm welcome greeting for Batak tribe.

I was born and grew up in Medan, North Sumatra, another beautiful and amazing island in Indonesia. And I am proud being Batak!

Medan is a small town to many people, but actually Medan is the 3rd largest city in Indonesia. Interesting places to visit are Maimoon Palace, Masjid Raya (Grand Mosque) and many more.

My favorite is Lake Toba, the largest lake in Southeast Asia located 176 km from Medan.

North Sumatra is wild and full of adventure! So if you are wildlife lover then Sumatra is the best choice!

For me the first traveling I did was to Indonesia to see the Komodo dragons. I realized that Indonesia has many more places to be visited when I did this first traveling.  2 years later I came for a longer period of time to Asia, and had the good luck to get involved in tours on a traditional sailing boat.  Here I made the decision to resign from my job in the Netherlands and join the cruise company for a year. But now this one year has extended to 20 years. The area that I traveled as a tour leader  extended  to many countries in Asia.  I am happy that my knowledge of Indonesia is of importance to Happy Trails, and to get the opportunities to learn and enlarge my skills and knowledge in many other aspects that are connected to a travel agency.

Joining with Happy Trails is a great opportunity for me. I like the working atmosphere here and I learned lots. I like travelling. My dream is to travel to every part of the world. I started from my hometown, Ende – Flores. Ende is the largest town in Flores and mostly people transit here before continue to Kelimutu. I like to visit Ngela, a village around 30km from Ende. Very popular place amongst locals and tourists.

Even not many high-end hotels in Ende but visiting this place truly giving great experience as Flores has many great spot, tough and savage nature to visit and enjoy!

Moving back to my country and starting to run my own travel company 8 years ago is really such a big challenge for me. With my little knowledge about travel business and tourism industry, I always learn to get to know more every place by visiting them one by one. The amazing feeling grows by finding out that my country Indonesia is such a beautiful country. One of the best spot I've been is Bunaken with beautiful white sandy beach, coral and scenery plus lovely welcome greetings from local people just a great package of happiness I feel together with my baby from my second pregnancy!

After graduating from the High School I continued to study in one of the university in Central Java, majoring Tourism Industry. I like traveling and my favorite place is Bandung. Well known as Parijs van Java, this city is the best place to escape from the crowds and heaven for food lover like me. The food here well known for its wide varieties. It’s very cozy sitting on cool evening in the mountain above Bandung. Also never get bored spending time walking down along Braga city walk. As much as I love Bali, I really love Bandung! Worth to visit place!

Most people know Bali very well. However, some people have mistaken Bali as country. They didn’t know that Bali is just one of the amazing islands in Indonesia. Yes, Indonesia has thousands of beautiful islands. So, if you really love traveling, why don’t you try to visit another island? Well, I believe you will enjoy the magical place, Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi. The inhabitants of this region are the ethnic group The Torajans. You will be stunned by their culture. Their unique and spectacular funeral rituals and their fascination with the dead make this place so special. What a great place to visit!

After traveling in Australia for 3 weeks in 1996, I resigned from my job in Holland, bought a one-way ticket to Beijing and travelled for 18 months all over North & South East Asia. I spend 6 months in Indonesia as I loved it so much; first of all the people, but also it’s diversity, the food, the culture, the roughness, climbing the volcano’s, hiking in Tropical rainforests, relaxing on the beaches, snorkeling, diving, you name it, you find it in Indonesia! After working as a Tour leader for over 5 years in South East Asia, I started Happy Trails in 2003 in Bogor (west Java) we had our first guests in 2004 and we moved the office in 2005 to Bali to create even more and better great memories for our all valuable clients.

I was born and grew up in the small village on the north part of Bali Island, a special village with friendly people. Working in tourism field is giving me chance to visit beautiful places. My favorite is Lombok Island. Just next to Bali, this island offers so many things to enjoy, hike to Mt. Rinjani or Crater Lake, Segara Anak is “must to do” activity. Then continue to visit Gili Islands, 3small islands in northwest of Lombok, Gili Air, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan. No motorized vehicles there, transportation by horse car (cidomo). Very amazing island!

I am friendly, respects to others and simple person. As a girl who was born and grew up in Bali, I always like to visit Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. For others, Jakarta could be the crowded and traffic city, but for me, Jakarta has unique interesting places to visit. From the shopping mall, culinary and Jakarta Kota Tua (Jakarta old city) are worth to visit. Visiting Jakarta Old City is just like “a blast at past” where we can see an old building with architecture style influenced by Dutch or European style. Truly loveable city!

Breaking away from the stressful city life and escaping to tropical island sounds like a fantasy. And I turned my fantasy into reality by moving to Bali!

Traveling is one of my passions; I love the feeling when I’m out there. Travelling, getting discovers places, meeting interesting people, exploring the local culture – I love it! I also feel travel has changed me especially about my outlook in life. So don’t waste money drinking and partying too much. Travelling is way better :)

And one thing I never leave home without when I am travelling? Sense of Humor :)

I love traveling and adventure. For me, enjoying the sunrise at Mount Bromo always bring peaceful and nice feeling. This place had amazing scenery and great landscape. Also, interesting culture of local people with its famous rite called Yadnya Kasadha can’t be missed! The beauty and mysteriously of Mount Bromo will always remain my memory as the piece of heaven on earth!

I love adventure, sport especially karate.What better way to stay fit than to do something that you enjoy? Sporting, mountain climbing or trekking is perfect activity that guarantees a total adrenaline rush.

Well, talking about tourism industry, Bali‘s tourism industry has survived terrorism attract. Although Bali has got a lot of incidents (bomb blast Bali) that changed the economic and tourism sectors become worst I hope tourists continue to come back. I hope any development is undertaken in harmony with the beauty of Bali. I hope for peace and prosperity for all the people of Bali.

Travelling in Indonesia has always been a special experience for me. In my 3rd grade in High School I visited Borobudur. That was the first time I experienced "real travelling".

I started working for Happy Trails in 2005, since then I visited more places such as Bali, Lombok and North Sumatra. All those experiences made me discover the diversity between each island, in nature and culture! So amazing!

With the knowledge I have, I would be grateful to help others to enjoy one of the wonderful parts in this earth; INDONESIA! Travelling is a part of our lives!

I was born in Central Java. I like to meet new friend and always put friendship on my top priority as friendship is a part of my life. My motto is “ Rukun Agawe Santoso” which mean “Harmonious brings happiness and prosperity”. I moved to Bali since 2009. As we all know that Bali is one of the best and popular tourist destinations. I also have dream to promote my village to become as famous as Bali. Baturaden! Yes, it’s a cool place to visit! Come and enjoy to experience new adventure in Indonesia.

For me to travel is to live and to help people have a great time in Indonesia is just wonderful. As a writer of a lot of travel guides and former director of different travel companies, I have learned that understanding the individual experience of a traveler is the key to a successful tour operator. Having traveled more than a hundred countries, for me Indonesia surely stands out as a magic world on its own with so much to offer, including some of the best food in the world! My travel passion brought me to Bali. I experienced Bali as an island with many opportunities. Beside beautiful beaches and incredible nature it offers an amazing culture with deep rooted traditions. The people are one of the most kind- hearting people I ever met. On every corner you’re welcomed by hearty smile. My travels brought me to North Sumatera, Komodo, Lombok and Flores. I look forward to discover more of this unique destination.

Being part of Happy Trails is a very challenging experience for me. I feel like having a new family and it is great to join and be part of the team. I am simple and always eager to learn something from life as I believe that everyone has a purpose in their life and it is a field of unlimited possibilities. I love to be in the nature. I love places that love me and help me to enjoy and work more efficiently. Life in an island paradise means love, nature and beautiful sceneries. These I only can find in Bali.

I am so deeply in love with my beautiful country, Indonesia.

There are thousands of great places to see in Indonesia besides Bali but I haven’t seen them all yet. My biggest dream is traveling to Raja Ampat, Papua. I am interesting with diving and this place is best spot for diving. The clear beach is secluded and swimming there feels like in private beach! What a nice activity to spend the holiday!!

As my motto is “Don’t stop dreaming; where there is a will, there is a way! So I will never stop trying to make it come true!

I fell in love with Bali since my first visit to Bali on October 2002. “As soon as I arrived, I knew that I wanted to stay”. But I just couldn’t forget my hometown, Surabaya, East Java. People do not consider Surabaya as a tourist destination but there are many interesting places to visit. The city is very clean, neat and famous for its malls, traditional markets and restaurants. I always love Surabaya and every time I have short holiday I will fly back to Surabaya to visit my family and never forget to do culinary trip! Surabaya always be my hometown whenever I am :)
